It’s the first Full Moon of 2023! The Wolf Moon gets its name from the high probability of hearing wolves howling around this time. Howling helps wolves locate their packs, coordinate a hunt, reinforce social bonding and helps define territories. 

This Moon is in Cancer and the Sun is in Capricorn. Cancer rules the 4th House that focuses on home and family. Cancer can bring lots of inner emotions to the surface including heightened levels of insecurities. During Full Moons we always have the duality of the positions of the Moon and the Sun. During this Full Moon the Sun will be in Capricorn which represents your working life of structure and discipline. So we have a polarity of our emotional needs vs our practical needs. Try to find a good balance between home life and work life. 

We are also experiencing Mercury in Retrograde. Mercury is the planet of communication. This could lead to small misunderstandings that turn into full blown arguments. So pay attention to how you express your thoughts to limit misunderstandings. Especially during times when you can’t find the right words you need to express yourself fully.
