The Harvest Moon is the Full Moon closest to the Autumn Equinox which was on September 23rd. This moon gets its name from several evenings of the moon rising soon after sunset. This abundance of moonlight in the early evening aids farmers in harvesting their summer crops.

This month's Moon falls in Aries with the Sun in Libra. Aries is ruled by Mars, it’s firey and passionate, assertive and courageous. A full moon with Mars is great for getting things done!
